The nail varnish that is good enough to eat

-

IT’S being marketed as ‘a zero-calorie way to enjoy Prosecco’ and it’s good news for nailbiters — a nail polish that looks, smells and, most importantly, tastes just like the Italian fizz.

If you love bubbly and manicures, this could be for you: you’re encouraged to nibble away at your fingernails once the manicure begins to chip — though the makers don’t recommend you drink it straight from the bottle.

That’s because though it’s made from prosecco and artificial prosecco flavouring, the nail varnish contains propylene glycol, sodium saccharin, titanium dioxide, potassium aluminium silicate and iron oxide.

With a sparkly gold lustre finish, your manicure should look tempting, though.

Sadly the fizz polish isn’t available in shops yet, but you can enter a contest on the website of discount sellers Groupon

(groupon.com) to win a bottle before its official launch in May.
