ONE of the treasures of the natural world, the Galapagos Islands in the Pacific Ocean are home to numerous species that are found nowhere else on Earth. But as our climate changes faster than ever, the Galapagos are under threat. This remarkable three-part series follows Liz Bonnin (pictured) and a team of scientists aboard research vessel the Alucia as they embark on a voyage of discovery in a bid to establish how we can protect this unique paradise and its equally unique wildlife. They begin by looking for the pink iguana, thought to number fewer than 200 — all of which live on an active volcano.
