ARSEnE WEnGER has informed Arsenal of his intention to sign a new two-year contract.

Sportsmail understand­s the Frenchman told the club hierarchy he wants to extend his stay during a meeting last week. the club are adamant that Wenger’s future will be a joint decision. neverthele­ss, last week’s talks are a major step towards him remaining. After having initial doubts over his future, Wenger is now more determined than ever to stay and transform the club’s fortunes.
