TexTILe royalty will be out in force as the biggest celebratio­n of Scotland’s rich textile craft heritage returns to The royal highland Centre in edinburgh between April 27-30.

The Spring Knitting & Stitching Show offers hundreds of workshops, demonstrat­ions, interactiv­e features and curated galleries showcasing the work of some of the world’s leading textile artists and groups.

This year visitors to the event can see a 90ft all knitted garden which includes a knitted pond and knitted fairground rides, as well as adding to the piece by bringing along their own knitted enchanted wood creations. There will be an opportunit­y to get involved with a series of free demos from the leading lights of the sewing world including The Great British Sewing Bee’s Lauren Guthrie, TV favourite Wendy Gardiner and Modern Quilter Jo Avery.
