Chicken King axes jobs

THE owner of Bernard Matthews is poised to cut 114 jobs from the firm’s headquarters in Norfolk.

Boparan Private Office, which promised to secure the jobs of 2,000 workers when it bought the company in September, is to cut roles, according to the union Unite.

Boparan is run by ‘Chicken King’ Ranjit Boparan, the owner of the 2 Sisters Food Group.
