Microsoft’s tablet troubles

A RISE in Microsoft sales was undermined by a 26pc slump in revenue from its flagship Surface laptop/ tablet hybrid.

Overall revenue rose to £18.2bn from £17.1bn in the same quarter last year, thanks partly to Microsoft’s cloud services. Chief executive Satya Nadella said: ‘Our results reflect the trust customers are placing in the Microsoft Cloud.’
