Former Celtic man Wilson talks to Hibs
FORMER Celtic defender Kelvin Wilson has held talks with Neil Lennon over a return to Scottish football with Hibs. Wilson, 31, is a free agent after quitting Rotherham following their relegation from the English Championship. Already trying to tie up deals for Anthony Stokes and Efe Ambrose, Easter Road boss Lennon now wants another of his former Celtic players to anchor a return to the SPFL Premiership next season. Undecided on his future, Wilson said: ‘I’ve left Rotherham. I’m a free agent now, so we’ll see what happens. ‘I’ve spoken to Lenny, yes. But I don’t know what’s going to happen yet. ‘I’m fit and well and hopefully will have some options and be able to take it from there.’ Asked if a move to Hibs was a realistic proposition, the Englishman said: ‘I don’t know. We’ll have to wait and see. ‘It’s something I’d have to sit down with my wife about and discuss with my family, too. My last season at Rotherham was different. ‘It’s a good club, but when you’ve played for big clubs like Celtic and Nottingham Forest, it was a bit of a culture shock.’
