The Saint next door
I CHERISH my childhood memories of dear Sir Roger Moore. In 1945, my twin sisters, Jean and Daisy, and I returned as evacuees to live with our parents at No 8 Aldebert Terrace in Brixton.
My pal, Evelyn Chamberlain, lived at No 6, and Roger was next door. We all attended the same school, Vauxhall Central, and enjoyed going to Roger’s old haunts: the Ritz cinema, Stockwell; Astoria, Brixton; the Streatham Locarno; and Brockwell Park. Mrs M. JACKSON, Caterham, Surrey.
