Floral flip-flops boost Joules sales to £156m
CHELSEA boots and floral flip flops have driven sales at British brand Joules, which said profits would be ahead of expectations.
The upmarket fashion retailer, known for its printed wellies, reported a 19.6pc rise in overall sales to £156m, as international shoppers continued to fall for its British charm. Retail sales leapt around 19.4pc higher in the year to May 28, while wholesale revenues rose 20.3pc thanks to strong demand in the UK and the US.
Joules has received a boost from the fall in the pound following the Brexit vote, which has sent international shoppers flocking to its website.
This season’s success stories include coral-coloured garments, along with its collection of embroidered tops.
Shares rose 5.2pc, or 15p, to 301p.
