Royals are the new catwalk queens
PRINCESS Diana and Princess Grace of Monaco set trends, but these days the royals are actually on the catwalk.
This weekend Lady Amelia Windsor, the Duke of Kent’s granddaughter, joined Princess Olympia of Greece sashaying down the runway at a special fashion parade held by Dolce & Gabbana in Palermo, Sicily.
Edinburgh University student Lady Amelia, 21, whose grandfather is the Queen’s cousin, was put in a white vest, outlandish headdress and told to carry a bag containing a loaf of bread.
‘When doing the groceries one must wear Alta Moda,’ she joked.
Princess Olympia — whose lavish 21st birthday party in the Cotswolds last weekend was attended by royals from around Europe — appropriately wore a tiara.
Also paid to strut his stuff was former Made In Chelsea star Spencer Matthews. Clearly, his brother James’s marriage to Pippa Middleton is already paying dividends.
