THE US President has set up his own ‘real news’ show to counter what he sees as ‘fake’ negative coverage.

The series, on Facebook, is presented by Donald Trump’s daughter-in-law Lara and lists his weekly achievements in the White House.

Promoting the venture, he said: ‘Want to know what President Trump did this week? Watch here for REAL news!’

Mrs Trump, wife of Eric Trump, began the first broadcast by saying: ‘I bet you haven’t heard about all the accomplishments the President had this week because there’s so much fake news.’

She mentioned how the billionaire has donated his presidential salary for the next three months (approximately £75,000) to the Department of Education, after giving it to the Parks Department in the previous quarter.

Mrs Trump – a former personal trainer and TV producer – then boasted that unemployment is at its lowest since 2001 – although she failed to say it has been falling every month for six years.

And there was no mention of recent turmoil in the White House, including the sacking of several senior aides.
