LOW-cost Hungarian airline Wizz Air boasted a 21pc rise in year-on-year passenger numbers last month.
The airline, which is threatening Ryanair’s dominance in Eastern Europe, said it flew 2.8m customers last month – up from 2.3m the year before.
It has added a new route to Poland and two to Ukraine, and expanded bases, deploying a fourth Airbus A320ceo to Skopje in Macedonia and opening a second base in Varna, Bulgaria. Its shares were down 0.07p, or 2p, at 2670p.
