CULINARY TOUR Eat Your Heart Out With Nick Helm, 8pm, Dave
THE comedian is in Berlin with the excellent Gemma Whelan, of Game Of Thrones and Horrible Histories fame, as his food series continues. It’s great fun to watch — and would be even better if someone had edited out the sound of eating.

PARENTS cannot tell if their children are lying — that’s one of three ‘facts’ up for investigation, suggested by panellists Emma Bunton, Carol Vorderman and Rob Brydon, as this new series, hosted by Lee Mack, continues. The section in which the kids are interviewed is particularly fun.
CLASSIC MYSTERY Agatha Christie’s Poirot, 9pm, ITV Encore

TIMEWARP TALE Outlander, 9pm, More4
‘WE’RE going to burn the witches,’ is the cry outside as Claire and Geillis begin their ‘trial’ for witchcraft in a new episode that also features the return of Tim McInnerny’s intimidating clergyman. Claire’s quote, about dying in service of your country, comes from the 18th-century American Revolutionary Nathan Hale.
GONE WEST Tin Star, 9pm, Sky Atlantic
TIM ROTH (pictured) plays a London policeman (and recovering alcoholic) who uproots his family to become police chief of a small town in the Rocky Mountains in Sky’s impressive new western series. BAROQUE MASTERPIECE BBC Proms 2017, 10pm, BBC4
THERE’S a clarity and elegance to Bach’s The Well-Tempered Clavier Book One, and Andras Schiff performs it with great brio in tonight’s Prom. His display of skill is all the more impressive when you consider the near twohour length, and Schiff isn’t done — he’s doing Book Two next year.
