Boston check out in style to seal final spot

Boston hit the winning bullseye when they knocked out darts star Mervyn King and former golf professional Barry Wortley to land a place in the Daily Mail Foursomes finals.

King, a former world No1, has won many major titles, but it was andrew green and andy Dawson who took the prized spot in next month’s showpiece at Marriott St Pierre, beating the pair from great Yarmouth & Caister 4&2 at home.

green, off five, said: ‘I watch quite a bit of darts, so I knew who he was. You take any sportsman on; no matter what sport it is, they are very keen to win.

‘I was looking forward to a really tight game, but we got off to a good start.’
