ANY party with JK Rowling as the host is bound to be magical.
But the Harry Potter author made sure her Bonfire Night celebrations went with a bang by asking Blondie to provide the evening’s entertainment.
Details emerged on social media when the US band’s co-founder and guitarist, Chris Stein, posted an image of punk icon singer Debbie Harry, 72, with Miss Rowling. The author wore a mask over one half of her face, while Miss Harry sported dramatic make-up around her eyes.
The image was posted on Instagram yesterday from the Auchterarder, Perthshire, area and had the caption: ‘Last night we played at a party thrown by the very magical and all around hero JK Rowling.’ And on Twitter, he posted: ‘JK Rowling is magic and our hero. Last night we played at her party.’
Picture This and Call Me stars Blondie – who perform at Glasgow’s SSE Hydro on November 14 – were also spotted at Perthshire’s Gleneagles Hotel on Friday.
