Revealed, despair of love-cheat movie star Ewan’s wife
SHE’S kept quiet since her husband was seen kissing his young co-star last month. But Ewan McGregor’s estranged wife Eve Mavrakis broke her silence yesterday, and responded to a comment about her ex’s new girlfriend Mary Elizabeth Winstead on social media.
One of Miss Mavrakis followers commented: ‘I can’t believe Ewan would end things with you for that cheap w***e! You are so much better than him! Take him for every penny you can!’
The 51-year-old production designer simply replied: ‘What can I do?’
Miss Winstead, 32, plays McGregor’s on-screen lover in American drama Fargo, where the pair met last year.
Their relationship was first exposed last month, when they were seen kissing in the window of a London restaurant.
The Star Wars actor, 46, is still married to his wife of 22 years Eve Mavraki, who was said to be furious at his affair after having the young actress round for a family dinner.
She reportedly welcomed Miss Winstead into her home in December, not knowing the young actress had a ‘teenage crush’ on the star.
They are thought to have been joined by the McGregors’ children, Clara, 21, Jamyan, 16, Esther Rose, 15, and Anouk, 6.
Miss Mavrakis has been seen without her wedding ring, with the couple reported to have split in May – the same month Miss Winstead announced her split from her husband Riley Stearns.
They shared a picture of t hemselves t ogether on Instagram saying they would ‘always love each other’. Both have since deleted the picture
In Fargo, shown on Channel 4 over the summer, Miss Winstead plays Nikki Swango – a femme fatale and lover of McGregor’s probation officer character Ray Stussy. They share a steamy bath scene in one episode.
His French film producer wife visited him on the set in Canadian city Calgary.
