Tessa Dahl is back in court on theft charge
THE agony continues for Tessa Dahl, 60-year-old daughter of author Roald Dahl. Yesterday, she was due to appear at Torrington Superior Courthouse, Connecticut, charged with larceny (theft), following her arrest last November, when she left the £140-a-night Interlaken Inn after running up a bill of £3,970.
Her lawyer Mark Sherman told me last week that the Inn had been ‘paid in full’ and that, accordingly, he and his client were expecting ‘a quick resolution’. But it seems he was too optimistic — the case has been postponed until February 20. Tessa has yet to enter a plea.
