Pregnant? No, it’s a pot belly says BBC host

THEY meant it as a kind gesture. But when fans congratulated TV host Steph McGovern on her ‘pregnancy’, she had to tell them: ‘I am not with child, I am with pot belly.’

The BBC Breakfast business presenter 35, was deluged with comments from mistaken viewers on social media after she appeared on the show yesterday morning wearing a loosefitting jumper.

Setting the record straight on Twitter, she joked: ‘For those who are congratulating me on my “pregnancy”. I am not “with child”, I am “with pot belly”.’

She said she has since received dozens of messages from women sharing similar stories.
