Staying slim? Nigella’s found the recipe
HER indulgent recipes are hardly famous for being low in calories. And Nigella Lawson’s love of ingredients such as salted caramel and cream has seen her dress size yo-yo over the years.
But the TV chef showed yesterday that she has maintained her recent impressive weight loss. The 58-year-old looked trim as she displayed her svelte figure in a close-fitting navy blue dress.
Miss Lawson was in Melbourne to promote the latest season of Australian Master-Chef, on which she is a judge. The mother of two recently revealed the secret to her weight loss – which has seen her drop from a size 16 to a size 12 – is doing yoga three times a week.
‘I have to do something I enjoy, otherwise I wouldn’t do it,’ she told Good Housekeeping. ‘The older I get the more I realise I have got to do lots of stretching. So even if I’m not doing yoga, I make myself do lots of stretching.’ She says she balances her diet by eating healthy foods – such as kale and avocados – as well as sweet treats.
