Poundland expands
POUNDLAND is opening more than 150 Pep&Co fashion outlets in its stores over the next year as it aims to become a major High Street fashion player.
The chain, which has been plunged into crisis in recent weeks after a scandal at its parent company Steinhoff, will double the number of Pep&Co outlets in the UK and Ireland.
Poundland said the move would elevate it to a top 15 clothing retailer by volume alongside the likes of River Island, Top Man, asos and Peacocks if expected sales are hit.
Prices at Pep&Co start at £1 and 95pc of the range is £10 or under.
