Face of the mum shot dead in Range Rover
A ‘BEAUTIFUL’ mother who was shot dead in front of her teenage daughter has been named as Cheryl Hooper.
Friends paid tribute last night to the ‘much-loved’ 51-year-old who was killed in her Range Rover on the drive of her home late on Friday night.
A 45-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of murder after he was found with serious gunshot injuries four miles away on remote farmland. Police believe he was known to Mrs Hooper.
Neighbours described hearing Mrs Hooper’s 14-year-old daughter scream, ‘My mum’s been shot, my mum is dead’ after the attack at 11.13pm on Friday.
Police and paramedics rushed to the quiet residential street in Newport, Shropshire, but Mrs Hooper had suffered a gunshot wound to her neck and died at the scene.
