Friends or enemies?

IT’S been suggested that if Russia invaded us, we might have to turn to our European allies and that would be all the more reason not to leave the EU (Letters).

So I’d like to point out that during the Falklands War, our European allies were nowhere to be found, with France even supplying Argentina with jet fighters and Exocet missiles, which were used to sink our ships.

Maybe if we were so foolish as to go to war with Russia, our European allies would be asking Russia if they were in need of any armaments.
