Hygiene hypocrisy

I AM disappointed that Tesco saw fit to stop an Edinburgh shopper from using his own plastic containers to purchase cheese and meat (Mail) for his own consumption in an attempt to reduce packaging and pollution.

Yet Tesco and other supermarkets turn a blind eye to toddlers with dirty shoes standing in shopping trolleys as parents do their shop. Which is the most unhygienic and a threat to health? bob macdougall, Kippen, Stirlingshire.
