WONDERFUL to read John MacLeod (Mail) on the Maid of the Loch. But yet again hers is a story of the neglect of Scotland’s rich maritime heritage.

It is fantastic that we have the former Royal Yacht Britannia at Leith, but the Waverley limps from one season to the next while the charity begging bowl is out for both the Maid and the TS Queen Mary.
