Charles left a little red-faced by his lead role on TV

FoR Prince Charles, it’s clearly important to keep a regal air on public engagement­s.

That was all undone in seconds yesterday when he met an over-exited puppy called Digby. His face flushed red, the Prince of Wales found himself being given a right royal runaround by the guidedog-in-training during a visit to ITV’s London headquarte­rs.

A clip of the chaotic encounter showed the heir to the throne reduced to fits of giggles as the labrador-golden retriever cross grabbed a microphone and he tried to wrestle it free from the animal’s jaws.

the royal visit to the This Morning studios – bounded through Charles’s legs.

Perhaps it was the warm studio lights or coming in from the cold, but the 69year-old royal looked noticeably red in the face during the playful encounter.

Both Charles and Camilla were invited to the studios to mark the 30th anniversar­y of This Morning and met hosts Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby. They were also introduced to several stars of ITV’s daytime line-up, including Good Morning Britain’s Piers Morgan – who took the opportunit­y to pass on ‘regards’ from recent interviewe­e Donald Trump.
