BABY WASH CLEANSER

I REMOVE my make-up with Johnson’s Baby Top-To-Toe Bath (£1.25, boots.com) — it works as a gentle cleanser if you’ve got sensitive skin. I discovered it by accident ten years ago, after getting my eyes lasered, which meant other shower products made them sting. It leaves my skin silky soft.

DIY DYSON BLOW-DRY

I ONLY go to the hairdressers about four times a year — for a cut, colour and styling. But, I do have a Dyson Supersonic Hair Dryer (£299.99,

dyson.co.uk), so that I can get a more professional blow-dry at home. It gives me less breakage, split ends and shedding. My hair is glossier and dries in under five minutes, too.

SUPERMARKET SLAP

ONE of my favourite places to buy make-up is Wilko — its Essence range is amazing. I love the Fresh & Fit Awake Primer (£3.50, wilko.com) so much I stocked up on six! It gives me a soft glow which lasts longer than my Smashbox Photo Finish Primerizer (£30, smashbox.co.uk). I’ve also swapped my YSL Luxurious Mascara For A False Lash Effect (£26, yslbeauty.

co.uk) for Essence’s £3 Lash Princess False Lash Effect Mascara, which I find much less drying.

VITAMIN BOOST

I’VE been taking vitamins for the last 30 years — at one point, I was on 16 a day. I rarely get ill and haven’t had any of the usual side effects of menopause. One of my favourites is Vitabiotics Wellwoman Max Tablets (£19.85 for 84, hollandandbarrett.co.

uk), which combines B vitamins, for energy, with omega 3 fatty acids to help you sleep.

BEAUTY SCHOOL BARGAINS

I GET my pampering treatments done at a local beauty college. The trainee therapists offer reduced prices, so I bought a six-week course of facials for £30. It means I can afford to treat myself more regularly. Plus, it’s less intimidating than a fancy spa!
