GORDON RAMSAY (pictured with Aaron Sanchez and Christina Tosi) returns at the helm of a new series of the U.S. contest, which is on commendably calmer form than usual. The contestants are still a colourful bunch, though, and include a ranch owner from Texas, a male model who says scallops ‘changed my life’ and a mum-of-four (and addiction counsellor) from Chicago.

THE ‘headscarf heroes’ are the women who fought the government — and the industry — for better conditions at sea after the sinking of three trawlers in 1968 claimed 58 lives. This inspirational new documentary tells the story of a formidable group led by Lillian Bilocca.
