Charles and a lady who was racy in lace

- By Rebecca English Royal Correspondent

SINGER Cheryl and actress Dame Helen Mirren were the leading ladies at a reception with Prince Charles last night.

But it was model Neelam Gill, 22, who really caught his eye as they celebrated the work of his charity The Prince’s Trust.

And little wonder. The Coventry-born beauty, one of the most successful Asian models in the world, was wearing a daring dress – little more than a low-cut leotard with a lace overlay.

Charles was clearly smitten as he greeted 5ft 11in Miss Gill warmly and even touched her dress admiringly. Miss Gill, whose out- fit was by London-based designer Kristin Aadnevik, said she had met the prince only two days earlier at his British Asian Trust dinner and he had remembered straight away that she had been dressed all in red.

‘I couldn’t believe he had remembered what I wore and he also admired by dress tonight,’ she said.

Singer Cheryl, who had a diamond ring on her engagement finger, looked uncannily like Meghan Markle in a black silk slip dress. She gave birth to son Bear with One Direction star Liam Payne last March.

The event at St James’s Palace was celebrating the Invest In Futures campaign which encourages the financial community to help young people into work.
