Cambodia party Britons win bail
FOUR Britons held on pornography charges after attending a pool party in Cambodia have been released on bail.
Ten foreigners aged 19 to 31, including five Britons, were arrested after police raided the raucous party at a private villa in tourist hot-spot Siem Reap last month. They were accused of ‘singing and dancing pornographically’ and circulating obscene photos to promote the event.
The defendants, who face up to a year in jail, have denied the allegations, saying they were not fully nude nor responsible for any pornography.
Yesterday seven of the group were given bail. Lawyers did not seek bail for the other three – the final Briton, a Dutch national and a Norwegian – who organised the party. No trial date has been set.
