Bullseye! MPs’ £3.4k darts freebie
UNDER fire for its use of glamour models to promote the sport, darts nevertheless appears to have no trouble attracting parliamentarians.
Six MPs pocketed tickets worth £3,406 for the recent World Championships. Labour’s Women and Equalities committee member Tonia Antoniazzi headed the queue with three tickets worth a total of £786 for the event paid for and sponsored by bookies William Hill.
According to the Register of Members’ Financial Interests, she was joined at Alexandra Palace by fellow Labour MP Jo Stevens, SNP MP Gavin Newlands and Tories Tom Pursglove, Nigel Mills, and Nigel Adams, who all made do with two tickets worth £524.
