- By Dean Herbert

THE family of a Scot who vanished in Germany during a stag party issued an appeal last night for help to find him.

Liam Colgan, 29, was last seen in a bar in Hamburg in the early hours of Saturday.

He had been in the city for his brother’s stag party – which he helped to organise – and is due to be best man at the wedding in three weeks.

It is believed some members of his family have flown out to Germany to join the search.

In a statement, the family said: ‘Liam is the best man for his brother, Eamonn Colgan, and is responsible for organising the stag do to Hamburg, Germany.

‘Eamonn is due to marry his fiancée, Susan, in three weeks’ time back in Scotland, so we are launching an urgent appeal to find Liam.’ Mr Colgan, a Royal Mail worker from Inverness, was last seen partying with his friends in the Hamborger Veermaster bar in the centre of the city.

He is 6ft tall with ginger hair and was wearing a brown leather jacket and a grey hoodie when he went missing.

German police are assisting the family in their search.

A Facebook page appealing for help has also been set up.
