I’m definitely no Lady, says Sabrina Percy

BEING mistaken for an aristocrat sounds like a fun problem to have, but for Tatler cover girl Sabrina Percy, pictured, it’s fast becoming a nightmare. The daughter of the Duke of Northumberland’s second cousin, Richard Percy, hates being wrongly referred to as Lady Sabrina because of her distant relatives. ‘It’s Miss, Miss! I don’t have a title! I’m worried people will think I’m pretending,’ the 28-year-old artist tells me, adding she hasn’t even met the Duke’s youngest daughter, Lady Melissa Percy, 30. ‘We were both at Millfield, but she left before I got there. Everyone thought we were related. I’ve been to Alnwick Castle [the Duke’s home] once when my grandfather died, to plant a tree for him.’
