£ IN THE MONEY
Keith Barr, 47 Chief executive, Intercontinental Hotels
THE boss of Intercontinental Hotels Group was handed £650,000 to resettle in the UK after taking the top job.
Keith Barr was given the cash to help his family’s move back from the US, where he had been based previously as chief commercial officer.
The cash was on top of £2.1m he was paid overall for his first six months in the job, IHG’s annual report shows. It was to help Barr adjust to the loss of benefits he received while on assignment in America, the company said.
