ALL STITCHED UP Make! Craft Britain, 9pm, BBC4

JAMIE CHALMERS found crossstitc­h by accident: ‘I was looking for something to do on a long-haul flight.’ Now, he teaches it and makes a great case for the technique’s calming virtues in this workshop. The necessaril­y careful pace of cross-stitch seems to slow people down, in a good way.

MOVIE HOMAGE Fanarchy, 10pm, Sky Arts

THIS new documentar­y explores the passion-driven world of fanmade tribute films (‘more passion, less skill’), starting with a shotfor-shot remake of Raiders Of The Lost Ark. This was created by a group of teenagers over seven years in Mississipp­i, and they took incredible risks to make it. One even set himself on fire.

JAPANESE FILM An (Sweet Bean), 10.40pm, Sky Premiere

TOUCHING drama about a baker selling sweet pancake-like treats, who hires an older woman (Kirin Kiki, pictured) to make an exquisite bean-paste filling. Soon, business is booming . . .
