Does killer Tobin hold key to 30-year mystery of missing teen?
A TV detective has claimed Scots serial killer Peter Tobin could be behind the 30-year mystery of a missing teenager.
Louise Kay vanished in 19 , and now ex-policeman turned cold case investigator Mark Williams-Thomas wants authorities in Brighton to let him dig up a garden where he believes Tobin, pictured below, could have buried her.
At the time of the 1 -year-old’s disappearance, Tobin was working as a hotel handyman in Eastbourne, East Sussex – a mile from where she was last seen.
Tobin is serving life for killing Angelika Kluk, 23, Vicky Hamilton, 15, and 1 -yearold Dinah McNicol.
Miss Kay was last seen dropping off a friend after a night out in Eastbourne.
Neither the teenager nor the car was seen again.
But Mr WilliamsThomas revealed he has found an address of 71-year-old Tobin’s that has not been forensically searched by police, and may hold vital clues.
He said: ‘I am absolutely certain and I have no doubt that Tobin is the man responsible for Louise Kay’s disappearance.’
The investigator hopes the pressure from the documentary, and Louise’s family, will make local authorities and police reconsider his request.
Miss Kay’s sister, Nicola Stork, 52, tells Mr Williams-Thomas in the show: ‘I have such strong feelings that Peter Tobin is connected to Louise’s disappearance. I just want to know where she is. If there are remains found then we can bury her and she has the respect she deserves.’ The Investigator: A British Crime Story, is on ITV at 9pm on Thursday.
