INTO THE LANDSCAPE Tate Britain’s Great Art Walks, 9pm, Sky Arts
THE enjoyable series in which paintings are used as the inspiration for walks returns, and finds Billy Connolly in the charming village of Cookham. The Berkshire enclave was the birthplace of the artist Stanley Spencer, who described it as ‘a village in heaven’.

AS THE Twin Peaks of superhero dramas returns for a new, second season, the central question remains the same: What is and isn’t real? Mutant David (Downton’s Dan Stevens, pictured) wakes up in a place called Division 3, where his boss wears a wicker basket on his head. Surely, he can’t be real? Don’t bet on it . . .

BAFTA-WINNING adaptation of Shelagh Delaney’s acclaimed 1958 stage play, directed by Tony Richardson. Rita Tushingham stars as the Salford teenager growing up fast.
U.S. SITCOM Divorce, 10.10pm, Sky Atlantic
IN A season finale that’s more tense than it is funny, Frances (Sarah Jessica Parker, pictured centre with Talia Balsam and Molly Shannon) reels from the success of Robert and Jackie’s relationship and manages to offend her friend Diane, who goes off on a bender. Then, all the characters are brought together for a party, which is a sure sign that disaster is waiting in the wings.
U.S. POLITICS The Circus, 11.20pm, Sky Atlantic
AMERICAN politics has rarely been a livelier topic, or more in need of expert analysis. This is the return of a high-end show that gives us just that, and tonight, host John Heilemann is joined by new face Alex Wagner. Mark Halperin left the series after sexual harassment allegations.

WHEN giant worms start devouring townsfolk, handymen Kevin Bacon and Fred Ward reluctantly play at the heroics. Ron Underwood’s comic adventure is one of few films that entertainingly tread the line between action, horror and out-and-out spoof.
