‘£30m’ security op

ONE of the biggest and most costly police operations in modern memory will secure the Royal Wedding. Thousands of police officers – including firearms teams, dog handlers and search units – will form a ring of steel around Windsor Castle, aided by the military in an operation reported to cost an estimated £30million. Police spotters have also been stationed on rooftops and specially erected towers.
