Fracking ban fiasco

-

THE news that the snP’s ban on fracking in scotland (Mail) turned out to be a load of codswallop should come as a surprise no one.

It should be taken as given that the snP is incompetent and does not know what it is talking about.

by the party’s own admission, none of its ministers are experts on their briefs. anybody who thinks differently has obviously not lived in scotland for the past 11 years.

JOHN WATSON, Dalgety Bay, Fife.

nICOLa sturgeon’s credibility is under severe pressure.

Most scots are wary of political promises, never more than when a politician wants to persuade you to abandon a centuries-old partnership in favour of a questionable ‘golden future’ by way of independence.

Miss sturgeon is always blaming westminster for everything that goes wrong in scotland.

It appears that the truth is the snP is perfectly capable of getting it wrong and then not telling anyone.

The recent row over the difficulties in obtaining freedom of Information answers in scotland highlights just how deep the problem is with trust and the snP.

If Miss sturgeon is being less than candid about fracking, what else is in the pipeline?

GERALD EDWARDS, Glasgow.

THE snP’s mythical fracking ban was a sop to the greens and nationalist flat-Earthers.

InEOs was right to go to court but the snP was wrong to use public money to defend the indefensible.

Jo WILSoN, Paisley, Renfrewshire.
