THE first set from this year’s festival is by Nile Rodgers and Chic (7.35pm), who will be sure to set a party mood if it doesn’t already exist. From there, the evening takes a rock trajectory, with The Script (9pm), Feeder (10.30pm) and Kasabian (11pm). Continues tomorrow.
SUPERHERO STORY Luke Cage, Netflix
THERE’S a familiar rhythm to Netflix’s various superhero shows, and this returning series, about a bulletproof hero, leaves that intact. Cage (Mike Colter, pictured, the charismatic highlight) is now a local celebrity, dealing with social media and sponsorship while trying to go about his crime-fighting business in Harlem.
Unsung Heroines: The Lost World Of Female Composers,

THE history of western classical music is dominated by male names. In an attempt to redress that balance, the opera singer Danielle de Niese (pictured) presents the remarkable work of five female composers whose fame has dimmed after their deaths.
FILM DRAMA Victoria & Abdul, 8pm, Sky Premiere
TWENTY years after Mrs Brown, Judi Dench stars in another portrait of Queen Victoria in her post-Albert years, charting her unlikely friendship with a dashing young Indian man (Ali Fazal, pictured with Dench). There’s a twinkle in her eye when she’s in the company of her ‘Munshi’.
GENIUS SLEUTH Elementary, 9pm, Pick
IN THE closing chapter of the U.S. drama’s second season, it becomes clear that Holmes’s brother, Mycroft (Rhys Ifans), actually works for MI6. The series has spent a lot of time building up the relationship between the brothers, and that pays off here, in a finale that sees the lesser-spotted Holmes accused of murder and treason.
COUNTRY STARS Nashville, 9pm, Sky Living
THE country music drama returns after a break for its final run and, while Nashville isn’t exactly storming towards the finish line, tonight’s episode does at least set up some interesting drama. Juliette is feeling happier and asks Avery to visit her at the cult — he’s not impressed, which will surely lead to fireworks down the line.
FREEVIEW MOVIE Bad Teacher, 9pm, E4
BAD-TASTE comedy for grownups, in which Cameron Diaz plays a foul-mouthed teacher who has no shame. Diaz’s reallife old flame Justin Timberlake plays the onscreen object of her affection — a fellow teacher who she plans to seduce for his money. Jason Segel and Brit Lucy Punch also star.
PIRATE ADVENTURES Black Sails, 10pm, 5Spike
IS CAPTAIN FLINT (Toby Stephens) being honest with the crew about why they’re hunting the galleon? What is the truth of his relationship with Mrs Barlow? And were pirates truly as well-spoken and quickwitted as they appear in this golden age of piracy drama?
