Beckhams toast their anniversary... with a £1,500 bottle of wine
MOST women celebrating a 19th wedding anniversary would be treated to a meal at the local restaurant or an M&S dine-in for two.
But not for Victoria Beckham, who was whisked away for a romantic meal in Paris – complete with a £1,544 bottle of red wine.
The fashion designer and her ex- footballer husband enjoyed an alfresco meal in the French capital on Wednesday evening, just hours after attending their daughter Harper’s sports day in London. Beckham, 43, posted a picture of him and his wife, 44, online, enjoying a selection of alcohol drinks, including the pricey bottle of 1990 Chateau Lafite Rothschild. The wine, from the Pauillac region of France, sells for £1,544 a bottle and £8,000 a case.
His caption, which refers to their rather dubious wedding outfits, said: ‘19 Years WOW... This time 19 years ago I was dressed from head to toe in purple... Happy anniversary to the most amazing wife & mummy... Love You x @ brooklynbeckham @romeobeckham@ cruzbeckham #HarperSeven.’
Mrs Beckham, who is known for her love of red wine, also posted the picture, as well as a close-up of the bottle of red with the caption: ‘Special wine for a very special day x.’ It received 3.4million ‘likes’ on Instagram.
The couple, who share Brooklyn, 19, Romeo, 15, Cruz, 13, and Harper, six, were seen hours before attending their only daughter’s sports day at her £18,000-a-year school, with Beckham taking part in the bean bag race.
