ON THE BOARD

OCADO has recruited the former director of Virgin Atlantic and Porsche Cars, Julie Southern.

The 59-year-old will join the board on September 1 and become chairman of its audit committee in April. The former finance director at Porsche Cars’ UK business is also set to join the board at EasyJet next month. At Virgin Atlantic she was chief commercial officer and chief operating officer.

She is also a nonexecutive director at DFS Furniture, Rentokil, Stagecoach Group and Cineworld.
