Cairney pens bumper deal at Cottagers

-

SCOTLAND midfielder Tom Cairney has committed his long-term future to Fulham after signing a new five-year deal with the English Premier League club. The 27-year-old captained the Cottagers as they clinched promotion to the top flight last season, scoring the winner in the play-off final against Aston Villa at Wembley. Keen to ensure their prized asset is not lured away from west London, Fulham have now rewarded Cairney (above) with a bumper new deal which runs until 2023. He said: ‘I am obviously delighted to extend my contract. It’s all I’ve wanted to do and I’m just buzzing to get the season under way. ‘Premier League football is back at Craven Cottage and it’s great to be part of the squad that got us there again.’
