Sweden’s WAGs: The Scary One, Sheriff and Ice Queen!
THE England WAGs have put on very glamorous displays at the World Cup but their Swedish counterparts have arrived in force before the two countries’ quarter-final clash today.
Swedish WAGS to watch out for include ‘The Scary One’, Shanga Forsberg, 25, aka ‘The Sheriff’, who is married to winger Emil Forsberg, 26.
As a former Swedish footballer, she is Emil’s most brutal critic. He says: ‘The only time I get nervous in football is after I play a bad game as I know what’s coming.
‘The Sheriff always gives it to me straight... “You were a disaster!” And if The Sheriff gets really **** ed off... well, you don’t want to be in the same room.’
Maja Nilsson Lindelof, 24, aka ‘The Publicity Queen’, is the wife of Manchester United defender Victor Lindelof, 23. ‘The Ice Queen’, as she likes to be known, has more than 100,000 Instagram followers.
‘The Rock Chick’, Josefin Johnsson, 28, is married to Celtic defender Mikael Lustig, 31. She is also a footballer, playing for leading Swedish ladies’ side Gideonsberg.
She has piercings and matching tattoos with Mikael, and likes leather jackets and Dr Martens boots.
In 2016, she bravely spoke out about her depression. She said she’d been ashamed to feel so low when she and her husband and two daughters had so much, but realised she needed to take action. ‘I have two kids that I need to take care of,’ she said. ‘Two kids that look up to me.’
