Wearing jeans, she carried plastic bags to the bins, full of empty wine bottles and ice cream tubs. Now that’s a first lady we could warm to.

+ ONLY the Trots running Labour would think a ‘universal basic income’ for every British citizen, whether they work or not, is a good idea. And as the Centre for social Justice points out, the Government would only be able to afford to pay a basic income of £6,200 a year, which compares to roughly half the universal credit already paid to workless families who need it most.
