KATE Moss has told how she was ‘pressured’ into posing topless while starting out as a model in her teens.

The supermodel, 44, said she did not feel comfortable being on set without her top on and said the thought of her 15-year-old daughter posing topless is ‘crazy’.

Miss Moss opened up about her career while appearing in the US on Megyn Kelly’s Today show on NBC. The star, worth an estimated £55million, first posed topless as a shy 16-year-old for a shoot at Camber Sands by Corinne Day for Face magazine.

Asked if she ever felt pressure to pose without a top on when she was first starting out, she replied: ‘Yes, there was pressure. I worked with a woman photographer called Corinne Day and she always liked me with no top on and I did not like it at all when I first started.’

Miss Moss, who was discovered at JFK airport in New York aged just 14, then referred to photos that were taken when she posed in front of her then-boyfriend Mario Sorrenti.

The pictures resulted in the star’s famous Calvin Klein Obsession campaign (left) in 1993 when she was 18. Speaking about appearing topless in the images, Miss Moss said: ‘Mario was my boyfriend so I was kind of used to it but I was still always like, “Can I just put some clothes on?”’

Referring to her only child, Grace Moss-Hack, she added: ‘I wouldn’t let my daughter do it. She’s 15, and to think that I was going topless at her age is crazy.’
