WIN TICKETS TO ‘THE TOWER REMEMBERS’

TO COMMEMORaT­E the centenary of the World War i armistice, from november 4 to november 11 the Tower of london’s moat will be filled with 10,000 flaming torches. in a poignant tribute called Beyond The Deepening Shadow, each night the torches will be lit by yeomen Warders and volunteers, accompanie­d by music based on the work of war poet Mary Borden.

Tickets on offer to the general public have sold out, but the Mail is honoured to have 50 pairs to give away for Saturday, november 10, at 4.30pm.

These tickets are available to community champions and we’re asking you to nominate them.

The 50 recipients and their guests will be welcomed into the Tower wharf to witness the first of the torches being lit by the yeomen Warders at 5pm and invited to walk through the moat.

We’re delighted to work with Historic Royal Palaces to offer these tickets to readers, and a donation of £5,000 will be made to the Royal British legion’s Poppy appeal.

HOW TO ENTER

SEnD us an email or postcard with 50-100 words explaining who you are nominating and why. We are looking for Britons who have made a difference to their community in a long-standing profession­al capacity; as service personnel; as a carer; or as a contributo­r to charity. Please include your name and phone number.

nomination­s must be received by October 19, 2018. We will contact applicants from October 22 to advise of success, and ask for the addresses of the recipients to mail the tickets directly.
