WAS FERGIE FEELING UPSTAGED?

SARAH FERGUSON’S decision to ignore yesterday’s baby news in favour of more tweets about her daughter’s nuptials prompted suggestions on social media that she may have been feeling upstaged.

The 59-year-old, who celebrated her birthday yesterday, published several tweets reminding her 115,000 followers of Friday’s wedding of Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank.

She even posted a picture of herself in her designer dress at the exact moment Kensington Palace officially revealed the pregnancy. Sara Anderson tweeted: ‘‘We know, we know. Stop trying to steal #MeghanAndHarry’s thunder.’

Jenna Koeries tweeted: ‘Happy birthday.. no congrats to other newly weds expecting their baby??’

Prince Andrew also made no mention of the news, instead wishing his former wife happy birthday and retweeting one of her own tweets.

Senior royals were said to have been told of the pregnancy at the royal wedding.
