A Mail investigat­ion reveals that at one in six of the top FTSE 100 companies, at least 20 per cent of shareholde­rs voted against what they deemed to be excessive pay packages – but their complaints were dismissed. This is the kind of contempt for investors that provides a wealth of ammunition for Jeremy Corbyn’s ruinous anti-business crusade.
