A damning report

into the scale of bullying at Westminster makes shocking reading.

It tells of boorish, predatory MPs enjoying ‘almost God-like status’ who routinely threaten and swear and also sexually harass female staff.

But don’t hold your breath for Commons Speaker John Bercow to act. He himself stands accused of flying into rages – allegations that have never been properly investigated.

Mr Bercow promised to step down after nine years – a period which expired in June. Now would be a perfect time to make good on that promise.
