Fake views! X Factor business class ‘stars’ really flew economy
THE X Factor has been accused of fakery after contestants were filmed flying in business class before reportedly being sent straight back to economy.
The singers, who were on their way to locations such as Los Angeles for the Judges’ Houses section of the ITV show, were seen posing for selfies and saying ‘first class’ to the camera on Saturday night as they enjoyed drinks in business class.
But a passenger on an Aer Lingus flight with the singers said they were moved once filming had stopped. Paddy McGrath said: ‘When the cameras were switched off, the contestants were all sent back to economy with the rest of us.’
He added that they were all filmed in the same seats for footage that also promoted by the airline.
An X Factor spokesman said: ‘As part of Aer Lingus’ partnership with X Factor, we flew contestants to perform at the judges’ houses.
‘The contestants were shown sampling the business class cabins. All footage was filmed by our team and provided to Aer Lingus.’
